EuroMillions Jackpot Approaches €200 Million Again

In a remarkable year for big EuroMillions jackpots, the top prize is once again surging towards record territory after another rollover on Tuesday. The estimated jackpot for Friday night is €198 million (£172 million), following a run of 14 consecutive draws without a winner. A number of players have come close to landing the colossal windfall over the past few weeks, including three ticket holders on Tuesday evening who matched all five main numbers and one of the two Lucky Stars. While the jackpot has remained tantalisingly out of reach, ticket sales keep pushing it higher and it is now potentially just a couple more rollovers away from hitting its maximum limit for the third time in the space of six months. EuroMillions has a jackpot cap of €250 million - once it reaches this value, it cannot go up any more. This first happened back in March, when an online player matched all the numbers to become the game’s biggest-ever winner. In June, the jackpot climbed all the way to €250 million again. This time it wasn’t won in the first, second, or even third draw at the cap, and additional funds that would have been added on top were instead diverted to the Match 5 + 1 Lucky Star category. In the fourth draw at €250 million, a family syndicate landed the full amount. The jackpot has not been won since that huge payout, setting up another exciting series of draws before someone else matches all the numbers. Make sure you don’t miss out on the opportunity to take part. All you need to do to play is pick five numbers from 1 to 50 and two Lucky Stars between 1 and 12, purchase your entries, then check your numbers afterwards to find out if you are a winner. Tickets are available in any of the nine participating regions, or you can choose your numbers online.
