Winner Claims £33 Million EuroMillions Jackpot

A single ticket holder matched all the numbers on Friday 5th July to win a EuroMillions jackpot of £33 million. They have already staked a claim for the prize.Winning EuroMillions NumbersThe winning numbers were 11, 13, 29, 31 and 47, with Lucky Stars 1 and 11. There were more than 22 million entries purchased for the draw, and more than 1.8 million were rewarded with a prize.Apart from the jackpot winner, prizes ranged from £2.50 (€2.80) for matching two main numbers to £78,213 (€109,528) for matching all five main numbers plus one Lucky Star.It was announced straight after the draw that the jackpot had been won locally, for the second time this year, and by the end of the weekend the winner had already made contact with the National Lottery.Local winners are allowed 180 days before they must come forward, but the latest winner has wasted little time in making their claim. It will be paid out after a standard validation process, including a meeting with the Lottery’s winners’ advisers.Senior Adviser Andy Carter said: “The big EuroMillions winner will now receive our full support through the validation process and help to enable them to quickly start to enjoy their truly life-changing win.”One of the big decisions the winner must make is whether to go public or stay anonymous. The majority of jackpot winners prefer to remain private but the last winners, from 30th January, were revealed to be Richard and Debbie Nuttall.Most Successful ParticipantsFollowing Friday night’s win, the UK is now level with another country at the top of the list of the most successful participants. Both have had 128 jackpot winners, just ahead of another location with 120.The next draw will offer a jackpot of £14 million (€17 million), with draws continuing every Tuesday and Friday.
