Record-Equalling €250 Million EuroMillions Jackpot Won by Irish Player

A fortunate ticket holder has matched the largest EuroMillions win on record by securing a jackpot of €250 million in the most recent draw on Tuesday, June 17th.

Following 20 consecutive rollovers, with the jackpot ultimately reaching its maximum value, excitement was palpable across participants, leading to millions of entries. The winning numbers were revealed to be 13, 22, 23, 44 and 49, with Lucky Stars 3 and 5.

It was a night of joy for many participants who collected prizes, with significant payouts also occurring in the associated draws played in multiple regions. However, the biggest celebration was sparked by the winner who matched all numbers, claiming a spot among top EuroMillions victors. Specific details about the winner remain undisclosed, but they have 90 days to claim their winnings.

Tuesday's event marked the fourth instance of the jackpot reaching €250 million, having ascended from its initial €17 million. EuroMillions regulations allow the jackpot to remain at its cap for no more than four draws. Had nobody matched the numbers on Tuesday, a special 'Must Be Won' draw would have been organized for Friday. Instead, the peak jackpot was claimed on its fourth appearance.

Remarkably, the two largest EuroMillions jackpots have both been won within a three-month span. A player previously won €250 million on March 28th with an online purchase, following a previous significant win in December 2023.

With the recent jackpot won, the outcome will be awaited to see if the winner chooses to reveal their identity or prefers anonymity. This win follows a promising start to 2025, which raises anticipation that the €250 million jackpot limit could be reached again soon.

Due to this extended jackpot cycle, a €130 million Superdraw scheduled for June 6th was postponed, yet the funds remain available for future promotional or special events. Moving forward, the jackpot will reset to €17 million for the next draw.
