EuroMillions Jackpot Reaches Cap – Anticipation Grows for Record Win

There were many fortunate winners in Friday's EuroMillions draw, but no one managed to match the winning numbers exactly. Consequently, the jackpot will continue to rise and is set to reach its €250 million cap before the next draw.

The jackpot had rolled over 16 times leading up to the 15/08/25 draw, with winning numbers 13, 30, 35, 36, 40 and the Lucky Star numbers 2 and 6 still unmatched. However, there were numerous other prizes won for this draw, so it’s important to check your tickets for any winnings.

Since the jackpot wasn't claimed this time, it will keep increasing, and with strong ticket sales, it is projected to hit its maximum limit of €250 million, an increase of nearly €18 million.

This marks the third occasion in 2025 that the jackpot cap has been reached. Earlier this year, a €250 million jackpot was won twice. If the jackpot remains at the cap for five draws without a winner, the entire jackpot value will be distributed among the lower prize tiers, resulting in better rewards for those categories. This event is called a Must Be Won draw, although they are relatively rare.

There is also potential for the €250 million jackpot cap to be increased in 2026, as larger jackpots tend to generate more interest. However, these plans are still in the early discussion stages.
