Viking Lottery Jackpot Remains Elusive as Secondary Prize Reaches Record Levels

The Viking Lottery's main prize has remained unclaimed for nearly 25 weeks. Although not quite at a record-breaking stretch of no winners yet, this evening's draw presents a chance for a new milestone in the secondary prize tier. If the main prize remains at its maximum of 25 million euros and the secondary prize is also unclaimed, around 11 million euros could be won tonight, making it the largest secondary prize to date.

The biggest secondary prize for the lottery so far was in August 2021, when a group of five players claimed almost 9.5 million euros. The largest jackpot win happened in January 2023, when an online player secured 15.9 million euros and celebrated with blueberries.

Should there be a record-breaking win tonight, with someone winning either the 25 million euro main prize or the 11 million euro secondary prize, it remains to be seen how the winner will celebrate.

The Viking Lottery, established in 1993, is the world's first multinational lottery game, currently involving ten nations.
