Tuesday night saw an exceptional EuroMillions jackpot win, as three tickets managed to match all five main numbers plus the Lucky Star numbers, securing a share of the jackpot. Each ticket holder will receive €48.1 million from the €144.5 million jackpot.Two winning tickets were purchased in one country, with the prize totaling £41.8 million each in the local currency. The third ticket was bought through a national lottery operator in another country, marking the largest lottery win there for the year so far.
The lucky numbers for the draw were 13-16-29-40-47, with 3-4 for the Lucky Star numbers. The prize must be claimed within specific time frames: 60 days for the ticket bought through the national lottery operator and 180 days for those purchased in the other country.
What makes this jackpot particularly unusual is the presence of three winners. It's a rare event, not seen since May 2023. Although the exact odds of three tickets winning together can't be calculated without knowing total ticket sales, the chance of any single number combination winning is 1 in 139,838,160.
As suggested in the introduction, the winning ticket bought through the national lottery operator may have been purchased outside the mainland, from one of its territories. This is only something that can be confirmed once the prize is claimed.
