Two Players Win Over 450,000 Euros Each in Eurojackpot Drawing

Two lucky players each won slightly over 450,000 euros in the latest Eurojackpot drawing (round 30/2024). One of the winners from Eurajoki played online, while the other played at an R-kiosk on Lauttasaarentie in Helsinki. Neither was aware of their winnings until they were contacted by Veikkaus the following day. The Helsinki winner incredulously checked his Eurojackpot numbers during the call and confirmed the win. After a moment of reflection, he expressed being 100% bewildered and speechless, having found his betting account empty earlier. The large prize wasn't reflected in the betting account balance because such winnings are directly transferred to the winner's bank account three weeks after the draw. The ecstatic winner had played Eurojackpot with a good feeling this time, having received an encouraging nudge from his partner. Similarly, the Eurajoki winner was caught off guard during a workday by Veikkaus's congratulatory call. Upon checking the app, he found the joyous surprise of his over 450,000 euro win. Both winners just missed the multi-million euro jackpot by one number, but were still ecstatically happy with their considerable prizes, according to Veikkaus spokeswoman Minna Sundholm. While players often dream of jackpot wins in the tens of millions, substantial winnings in the hundreds of thousands can also be life-changing. In the Eurojackpot, the second tier 5+1 matches can occasionally yield millions, with the largest 5+1 win recorded being 7.3 million euros.
